Built for Dogs Who Were Never Meant to Blend In.
KOVPET began with one simple but unwavering belief: dogs have personality, and their gear should have personality too.
We don’t see dog apparel as something made only for warmth or photos. To us, it is a layer of street armor for every outing—made to handle park runs, city wind, weekend road trips, and all the moments in between, while showing the world exactly who your dog is.
KOVPET is inspired by the real, rugged, and free-spirited moments of American life.
It’s the morning walk past the neighborhood coffee shop. It’s loading the car with a leash, treats, and water before heading toward the coast, a mountain road, or a campsite. It’s city sidewalks at dusk, graffiti on old warehouse walls, neon glowing at a late-night gas station. It’s the lived-in texture of worn denim, the hardware on a moto jacket, and that open-road feeling that says you can leave anytime.
We’re drawn to the unapologetic strength of American moto culture and the effortless confidence of streetwear. Vintage workwear, denim, racing details, rugged materials, and the energy of city life all find their way into the KOVPET world.
Our design process begins with the way dogs actually move. Every silhouette, opening, material, and detail must answer one essential question: Can a dog still feel completely like itself in this?
Can they lift their legs, run, sit, and play with ease?
Does the fit allow for chest comfort, back coverage, and natural movement?
Can it keep up with daily walks, quick getaways, and changing weather?
Is it durable enough for real life—and sharp enough to stand out?
Once the functional foundation is right, we bring in the KOVPET signature: moto-inspired cuts, vintage denim, bold color blocking, durable textures, metal hardware, zipper details, and just the right amount of rebel energy.
We believe great design should never make a dog feel restricted.
It should let them chase the wind, splash through puddles, run through the grass, ride in the front seat, and soak up the sun—while looking like they were born this cool.
The KOVPET point of view comes from the most genuine part of life with dogs: companionship.
Dogs are never just background characters. They walk with us, travel with us, wait with us, move with us, and turn ordinary days into moments worth remembering. They are our city-exploring partners, our road-trip co-pilots, the most excited members of every weekend plan, and the best welcome-home crew we could ask for.
That is why we are creating more than pet apparel. We are building a lifestyle made to be worn, lived in, explored, and remembered together.
The Founder’s Vision: David Miller
KOVPET was founded by David Miller, a California-based designer, lifelong dog person, and a man who still believes that the best ideas begin outside.
David spent his younger years drawn to vintage motorcycles, industrial design, camping gear, and long drives across the American West. Now in midlife, that curiosity has not faded—it has simply become more intentional. He believes that worthwhile design should hold up over time, through use, movement, weather, and everyday life.
For David, dogs have never been background characters. They are morning-walk companions, road-trip co-pilots, neighborhood explorers, and the most enthusiastic welcome-home crew anyone could ask for.
“I never thought dogs should only be defined as cute,” David says. “They have their own personality. Some are bold, some are calm, some chase the wind, and some just want to sit by the window and watch the world go by. They deserve gear that feels good, works hard, and says something about who they are.”
David’s background in industrial design and outdoor equipment shaped his focus on construction, materials, durability, and real-world comfort. His love for American road culture, moto style, and street aesthetics gave KOVPET its edge.
His goal was never to make a scaled-down version of human clothing. It was to create gear designed around how dogs actually live—while giving them a look that feels unmistakably their own.
